Prompt #7 Who is my favorite superhero?

PROMPT #7  Who is my favorite superhero?

A superhero is someone that always saves the day; they save people and protect them from evil.  They might have super powers such as super strength, flying, lasers shooting out of their eyes, can talk to animals, turn into fire, can stretch, move things with their minds, or even turn into animals.  They can even be just normal everyday people; they may not have any powers but they might use super cool gadgets and cool mysterious costumes that protect their identity to fight villains. 

Who is my favorite superhero?  There are so many awesome superheroes to choose from like Batman, Superman, Spider Man, Thor, Wonder Woman, Hulk, Robin, Captain America, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo)! 

But if I had to choose one, it would be… Mermaid Man!

He is the superhero in my favorite show Spongebob.  Not only is he my favorite superhero, he is also Spongebob and Patrick’s favorite superhero too.  He is my favorite because he is actually a human who lived on land, but lives in the sea and protects the ocean’s citizens from evil villains like the Dirty Bubble and Man Ray.  He has a sidekick, Barnacle Boy, and together they greatly resemble the duo Batman and Robin.  They even have a secret lair, the Mermalair, like Batman’s Batcave, and even a vehicle called the Invisible Boat Mobile. 

Although he is human, he has super abilities such as being able to summon sea animals and throw water balls, and he can even breath underwater.  He also has a belt with the buckle with letter “M” on it that has the ability to shrink people.

Together with Barnacle Boy, they had fought the evil that has terrorized the sea citizens for many years and are now very old and are currently retired and reside Shady Shoals Rest Home, a retirement home in Bikini Bottom.  Although, much to their annoyance, they are somewhat out of retirement because of Spongebob and Patrick, even though they are too old to fight crime. 

Mermaid is always seen in his costume, even now, as an old man he still wears his costume.  He wears on orange shirt, green pants, a seashell bra, his shrinking belt, a ring (that Barnacle Boy has too), has a starfish on his nose, and my most favorite part of his costume, his FUZZY PINK SLIPPERS.  When he was younger he was much much stronger than he is now, he was much taller, stronger, and had blonde hair too.  He now an old man, with white hair, weaker bones, poor hearing and sight, is very forgetful, has slow digestion, is overweight and sometimes falls asleep in the middle of doing something important.

Even though he is not in his prime, I think he is still awesome.  He is hilarious especially when he shouts “EEEEVVVIIIILLLL!” and freaks out when someone says that word.  I also love that he is old, constantly confused, and still treats Barnacle Boy like a child (even though he’s super old too, he’s now bald and has liverspots) to the point that he defected to the Evil side for a while. 

My last reason why Mermaid Man is my favorite superhero is because he is simply an aquatic superhero that protects the ocean.  I love the ocean and I think that aquatic super powers are super awesome, its my favorite type of super power.
